TCR Text Campaign Error 701 - Prohibited Content: Cannabis
What it means: Your campaign has been rejected due to the inclusion of cannabis-related content, which is explicitly prohibited by carriers. Even in regions where cannabis is legal, carriers maintain a strict policy against such content.
Other Prohibited Content: In addition to cannabis, the following types of content are also blocked by carriers:
- Social marketing
- Debt collection services
- Financial services, including high-risk/subprime lending, credit card companies, auto loans, mortgages, payday loans, short-term loans, student loans, debt consolidation/reduction/forgiveness
- Insurance-related messages, such as car or health insurance
- Gambling, including casinos and bingo
- Gift cards or promotional vouchers
- Sweepstakes or free prize offerings
- Investment opportunities
- Lead generation services
- Recruitment or commission-based programs
- Credit repair services
- Tax relief programs
- Illicit or illegal substances, including cannabis
- Work-from-home schemes or get-rich-quick offers
- Campaigns promoting specific brands like UGGS and Ray-Ban
- Phishing, fraud, or deceptive marketing
- SHAFT content: Messages involving Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, or Tobacco
Remedy: Unfortunately, there is no remedy for this error. Carriers will not support any campaigns containing prohibited content. You will need to remove all such content from your campaign before resubmitting it for approval.
