How to Make a Call Using Your Phone on Vumber

Vumber allows you to make or return calls to your customers and have your Vumber number show as the caller ID on their phone.

There are several ways to make an outbound call using your Vumber.
In the article, we explain how to return or make calls using the Vumber telephone interface.

You can also make Vumber calls using these methods
  1. Using the Android or iPhone App
  2. Using the Vumber Web Portal

Steps to make a call using your registered phone number:


  1. Call your Vumber number from the phone you've registered with the service.
  2. After our system recognizes your number, you will hear "Please enter the number to dial."
  3. Using your phone keypad, dial the number you wish to call followed by the # key.
  4. Once you've dialed the number and pressed #, your call will be connected.

That's it! Your call will now be placed through Vumber and your Vumber number will be shown as the caller id to the called party.

Return the last received call


  1. Call your Vumber from the number you registered with the Vumber number (the forwarding number)
  2. We will recognize it's you calling from your caller id.
  3. You will hear "please enter the number to dial"
  4. On your telephone keypad, key **5 followed by #
The last call received on your Vumber number will now be dialed.

Redial the last number dialed


  1. Call your Vumber from the number you registered with the Vumber number (the forwarding number)
  2. We will recognize it's you calling from your caller id.
  3. You will hear "please enter the number to dial"
  4. On your telephone keypad, key **6 followed by #
The last person you dialed using your Vumber number will now be re-dialed.

Listen to your voicemail and return the call


  1. Call your Vumber from the number you registered with the Vumber number (the forwarding number)
  2. We will recognize it's you calling from your caller id.
  3. You will hear "please enter the number to dial"
  4. Enter 123# to access your voicemail system
  5. When listening to a voicemail, or immediately after a voicemail has finished playing, press 5 
  6. A call will be made to the person who left the voicemail - showing your Vumber number as the caller id.

Please Remember, the Vumber number you dial first from your phone will be displayed to your recipient. This ensures your privacy is maintained by showing only your Vumber ID, not your personal phone number.
