How to Toggle Between Displaying Your Vumber or Caller's ID on Incoming Calls
Understanding how your phone displays incoming calls can significantly enhance how you manage your communications through Vumber. This guide explains how to choose between displaying the Vumber number being called or the caller's own caller ID when you receive calls. This adjustment lets you identify not only who is calling but also through which of your numbers they are reaching you, enhancing your ability to respond appropriately based on the context of the call.
Steps to Change What Your Caller ID Will Show On The App:
- Open the Vumber app on your mobile device.
- Tap the hamburger menu icon located in the top left corner.
- Select "My Numbers" from the menu options.
- Choose "Configure" next to the number you want to apply this feature to.
- Navigate to the "Call Forwarding" section.
- Tap "Your caller ID will show" to open the drop-down menu.
- Select 'the caller's telephone number'.
This setting adjustment applies only if a person is calling and it is being forwarded to your native phone. If calls are being forwarded to the Vumber app, you will see both the Vumber that's being called and the person's caller ID. This dual-display ensures that you have full visibility over both the caller's identity and the specific Vumber they dialed, which can be crucial for effective call management.
