How to Set the Number of Rings Before Direct-to-Voicemail Answers
When you configure your Vumber number to send all calls directly to voicemail, you can set the number of rings played to your caller before the voicemail system answers.
When your caller hears rings before your voicemail greeting plays, it sounds more natural and improves the chances of your caller leaving a message.
The rings to voicemail setting only works when calls are configured straight to voicemail. The setting is ignored when calls are set to forward to a number or announcement.
To adjust the amount of time a call rings before going to voicemail in the Vumber app, follow these steps:
- Open the Vumber app on your mobile device.
- Tap the hamburger menu on the top left and navigate to "My Numbers."
- Press "Configure" to the right of the desired number you wish to make changes.
- Select the "Voicemail" option from the menu.
- Tap the "Other Settings" option to open the drop down menu.
- You can then select the number of rings you would like the caller to hear before going to voicemail.
