Brand and Campaigns FAQ

This is a list of the most frequently asked questions about updating your Brand and Campaign information.

  • Why do you need this information?

Vumber facilitates the delivery of your text messages - from a technical perspective. Wireless carriers - not service providers like Vumber - require this information and create and enforce the rules. The carriers aim to identify the sender of text messages as part of their efforts to minimize spam and unsolicited messages received by their subscribers.

  • Do I really need to fill this information in? Can't I just ignore it?

The mobile carriers will not deliver your texts if you do not supply this information.

  • I don't have a website. What should I do?

The carriers insist on a website URL and reject brands that don't specify this. If you don't have a company website - please use a social media web presence like LinkedIn.

  • I don't do campaigns. What info do I need to supply?

Specify the purpose of your text usage on the campaign form. For example:

Description: "Numbers for having conversations with existing customers and associates."

Sample messages:  Provide a few examples of the typical message you sent. You don't need to be exact; you need to be broadly representative.

Opt-in: "I don't send out mass texts for lead generation. I only text people you have called or texted me first and have given verbal permission to receive texts. Conversations are on a 1 to 1 basis."

  • Do I need to do this to each of the phone numbers in my account?

No. Your single brand and campaign will cover up to 50 numbers on your account. If you have more than 50 numbers with Vumber and you want to send text messages from them all, let us know, and we will get you set up.
